Common questions

I bought the full game. How do I get it on another device?

Open Pawlitics, tap a locked governor or scenario (or "Unlock every governor and scenario" on the start screen), then tap Restore Purchase. Use the same Apple Account you bought it with.

How do I get a refund?

Purchases are made through Apple, so refunds are too. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with your Apple Account.

Where's my saved game?

The game saves after every move, on your device. Your current game appears as "Continue" on the start screen. Starting a new game asks first, because it replaces the old one. The game in progress stays on the device it was played on and is removed if you delete the app. Your scenario stars are kept in iCloud, so they come back after a reinstall and show up on your other devices.

I can't hear any sound or music.

Check the speaker button on the start screen, your device volume, and the silent switch: Pawlitics respects it. The music also stays quiet while your own music or a podcast is playing, so it never plays over yours.

Game Center achievements or scores aren't showing up.

Make sure you're signed in to Game Center in Settings. Achievements are reported as you earn them; your Legacy Score is posted when a game ends.

My approval keeps dropping. Any tips?

Open the Plan (the web icon at the top) to see what's pushing each group up or down. Keep the treasury out of the red: deficits make everyone grumpy and stop you earning political capital. A tax cut has to be paid for with a spending cut. And try Sleepy Hollow, the tutorial scenario, if you haven't yet.

The council keeps voting my bills down.

Each party votes with its own voters' mood and with your approval, so a struggling governor gets a cooler council. When a vote falls short you get one move: amend the bill to half the change, trade a favor with the party closest to yes, or spend extra capital to lean on it. A defeated bill can come back after four quarters. Small adjustments to a policy skip the vote entirely.

What happens if I go into debt, or a group petitions to recall me?

Debt costs interest every quarter, and the deeper you go, the lower your credit rating and the higher the rate; tap the banner under the stats to see it. If a big voter group stays furious for three quarters, it petitions to recall you. You can meet their demands, campaign against the petition, or let the town vote, and the card tells you how each vote would likely go.

I changed a policy by mistake.

Tap the undo arrow next to Next Quarter. It takes back your changes from this quarter one at a time, with a full refund of capital and money. A council vote that failed can't be undone, though: the council remembers.

My second term is harder than my first.

That's on purpose. Voters expect more each term, happy groups slowly take you for granted, and quick reversals or giveaways right before an election make everyone cynical. Keep giving people new reasons to like you, and check each group's sheet to see who's grown complacent.

What's free, and what does the unlock include?

Free: your first term in the Sandbox, the Sleepy Hollow tutorial, and four governors. The one-time unlock adds second terms, the other six scenarios and the other six governors. No ads, no timers, no subscriptions.
